The recipe is made with three simple ingredients: Witch Hazel, rose water, and a few drops of essential oil (I suggest chamomile or lavender, or both).
I’ve seen a huge improvement in my skin since using this toner. It’s so refreshing and leaves my skin feeling extremely soft and clean.
Both witch hazel and rose water are non irritating and great options for sensitive skin, but can be used on all skin types.
Witch Hazel: Make sure to get alcohol free witch hazel as it acts as a gentle cleaner to remove excessive oil and control oil production. It also can help reduce bags under the eyes and hydrate.
Rose water: This is a great anti inflammatory and moisturizer. It acts as a gentle cleanser to remove build up and debris from your pores. Rose water also tightens the pores. It smells amazing!!
Distilled Water: It’s important to use distilled water in cosmetic recipes to ensure it’s free of impurities. Never use tap water.
Rose Water Toner Recipe
1 Cup Witch Hazel
1/2 Cup Rose Water
3/4 Cup Distilled Water
10 Drops Of Essential Oil ( I suggest lavender and chamomile but for more acne prone skin use tea tree oil)
1. Combine all the ingredients in an empty bottle and shake.
2. To use dap on a cotton pad and wipe across your face after you wash your face, and before you put a lotion on.
If you’re worried about drying your skin out use more rose water than witch hazel and add a few drops of glycerin for extra moisturizing.
